Morning - Sosor Gya, Korba T3e
Location: Benya Shrine
Korba T3e - This is the ritual performed by the people of Elmina to end the fasting period observed in the " Korba butuw". Korba T3e simply signfies turning your plate up to indicate your readiness to eat after a long fasting period
Sosor gya - This is another disciplinary ritual performed by the people of Elmina to discipline young females who engaged in immoral behaviour or activities that the people of frawn upon.
Afternoon - Dzintsiatu - Men only
Location: Benya Shrine
This is a male version of the ritual performed to discipline young females who engaged in several immoral activities that the community hates. The women carry "Dzintsia"(sticks ) to tell men that if you have been bold to expose our immoral activities, then we will also touch you by the sticks.
Evening - Dzintsiatu - Third Dombo
Location: Benya Shrine
The ritual called Dombo is performed in honour of the ancestors who fought for Edinaman's existence. Again, the ritual is used to discipline natives who have perpetuated hidden crimes during the ban on fishing in the "Benya lagoon" but think the crimes are not known. The gods of our land through the Dombo, reveal such crimes for culprits to be disciplined accordingly.

Morning - School Quize Competition
Location: Nana Kobina Gyan Square The Bakatue Inter School quize competition is organised by the Edina Traditional Council in collaboration with other stakeholders to educate the youth on the customs, traditions and history of the renowned Bakatue festival. The quiz educates and impart knowledge on our, history, the current affairs of the nation and some school learning subjects . It gives the youth the opportunity to learn new things so to preserve our heritage for the next generation.

All colours float is naturally designed to bring the Edina Communities together. The various communities choose and decise to be identified with a particular colour for the canival. Communities, social groups , individuals,teams and many come together and one line movement unite to move as Edina mba through a canival called the float.
Evening - Artists Corner / Kojo Vypa
Location: Nana Kobina Gyan Square
Special performance of the most popular musician Kojo Vypa born in our Town. A night street musical concert that follows the float. This event brings together various music artists and performers to entertain all festival lovers.

Location: Elmina Castle The durbar of chiefs and the people of Elmina crowns the Edina Bakatue Festival. The event is always organised at the historic compass point in front of the Elmina Castle. At the event, development agenda for the new year is outdoored and the state support sought for its execution.The events brings together various cultural displays to entertain festival lovers. Many government officials, high profiled indigenes, distinguished invited guests, festival lovers, indigenes enjoy the enviable royal train that always ends the event . The chiefs take the opportunity to display their looks and appearances and also respond to cheers from their people.
